Foundations

In this course, we break down a lot of terminology that is going to be used throughout the rest of the courses and concepts that we are going to talk about. This course provides a foundation for the rest of the Academy.

Full Swing Pt. 1

This course examines the set-up position of the golf swing. We talk about posture, grip, alignment, pressure, and more. We break down what a neutral position is for every element of set-up, and how we can react for better or for worse if we are not in a neutral position.

Set Up

In this series, we talk about posture, grip, alignment, pressure, and more. We break down how element of our set-up can positively or negatively effect the rest of our swing and make recommendations on how to remedy those issues.

Full Swing Pt. 2

This course examines the backswing. We talk about all of the “ideal” positions we could be in during the backswing, and we also look at what happens when we are not in that “ideal” position. The main takeaway from this course is that there are a few preferences I stress each of you to have, but there is also a lot of room for personal tendencies and feels to make your swing your own.

Backswing

In this series, we look at a lot of common misconceptions and poor positions that players get into during the backswing. We learn how it effects the downswing and how we can either match-up with these moves or what we should do to fix them so we don’t react in an undesired way in the downswing.

Full Swing Pt. 3

This course examines the downswing. We look at elements like shallowing and leg work that I am know for, but we also break down so many more elements like controlling the club face, learning how to release the club, and how our body should interact with the ground to create an efficient downswing that creates speed and reduces timing.

Downswing

In this series, we look at a lot of common misconceptions and poor positions that players get into during the downswing. A lot of the reactions we see in the downswing are the result of a poor address or backswing position, but there are also a lot of instances where people simply do not move their body correctly. This course highlights those positions and give tips to remedy them.

Utilizing Clubs

This series teaches us how to hit specific categories of clubs. We learn how to do things like hitting a driver or hitting wedges compared to a normal full swing with an iron.

This section breaks down all the different ways to fix your set-up, backswing, and downswing. It provides an understanding of what you could be downswing wrong as well as drills and tips to help you fix those issues.

Ground Forces

This course works in conjunction with Swing Catalyst to help us understand what ground forces are, how we can understand them, and how to improve upon them. We learn about torques, vertical forces, horizontal forces, pressures in the feet, and the sequencing of these forces and pressures to maximize the output of our swing.

Shot Shaping

This course teaches us they why and how our ball flies with the start line, curvature, and trajectory that it has. It then teaches us how we can adjust our set-up and technique to create the shot shapes we desire.

Data Points

This course looks at the nitty gritty of ball and club interaction. It teaches us how things like smash factor, backspin, spin axis tilt, range of dispersion, etc. and how those data point are important to understand and improve upon to take your game to new levels.

This section breaks down what could be going wrong with your chipping or pitching technique. It provides drills, feels, and tips to help you fix any technical issues with you motion.

Sand + Flop

This course breaks down how to hit shots out of bunkers and it dissects how and when to hit flops shots. Both bunker shots and flop shots are considered some of the most difficult to hit in golf. Once you understand how to properly hit these shots, they become relatively easy and very fun to hit.

The section breaks down any issues that you could be facing when hitting out of the sand from a technical stand point. It provided drills and feels to help you set-up and move your body correctly during a bunker shot.

This course examines how we approach putting mentally, how to read greens, how to judge speed, how to get your ball started online, and how to perform a proper technique with your stroke.

This course provides a structure on how we should work on our game when we are at the driving range, chipping or putting green, or practicing at home. It teaches us what to work on, how to divide up our practice, and how to work on things that will practically transfer over to the golf course when we play.

This series teaches us how to break down our own swings so that we have a reference as to what is good and bad. It shows us how to draw lines and compare our swings to other players or our past selves to see what we should be working on.

This section teaches us games and drills to practice to improve our full swing. We learn how to control our ball off the tee, how to control distances, how to hit different shot shapes, etc.

This course breaks down all of the reasons we have fears, doubts, negative thoughts, and anxieties on the course. It provides ways to overcome those thoughts and tricks to use in the moment so you can commit to the shot you are hitting.

This course teaches us how to strategize and navigate our golf ball when playing. We learn how to choose a proper club off the tee, take out as much trouble as possible, leave our ball in the correct positions around the greens, and minimize the damage when trouble does strike.

This course is an objective look at our strengths and weaknesses. Based on our previous performances, this course tells us what we should spend most of our time improving and it navigates us back to the appropriate Courses, Faults and Fixes, and Skills and Drills we should watch to improve those areas of our game.
